Dining at Waterloo House Restaurant, Lynton in Devon is designed to be simple and consistent with a home cooking influence, and reflective of those classic English and French dishes that stand the test of time (steak & kidney pie, Beef Bourguignon). We limit the choices of each course to enhance the quality of each dish.
Devon Ruby Red Beef is used whenever available. Our preferred Salmon is Loch Duart. Full provenance notes are provided on the menu.
Waterloo House Restaurant in Lynton also boasts an excellent cheese selection that favours local Devon cheese with other, specially selected guest cheeses from the UK and the continent.
Paul says: “We use English and French cooking techniques using the best available ingredients to prepare traditional dishes that are full of flavour and nutritious. Not so much fine dining as fine food, at an affordable price.
Relax in our lounge for pre-dinner drinks to the soft background music CD of international pianist Debbie Bacon. Her light touch and special arrangement of very well known melodies provides the perfect accompaniment to a relaxing pre-dinner drink.
