TERMS AND CONDITIONS: THESE SHOULD BE CAREFULLY READ BEFORE BOOKING

For all booking confirmation purposes (whether online, by phone, email or any other means) it will be assumed by Waterloo House that these Terms and Conditions have been read and understood. Subsequent breach of certain terms and conditions, once the guest has arrived on the premises of Waterloo House, may result in the guest being asked to leave.

PLEASE NOTE: Waterloo House is a child free guest house. There is no accommodation for children of ANY age.

The following T&Cs apply for ALL our guests’ convenience and comfort. The owners of this establishment are particularly anxious that our non-smoking guests are not in any way adversely affected by cigarette/cigar smoke, badly behaved dogs or guests with a disrespectful attitude toward our other guests. We have rules to enable our guests to enjoy a pleasant, restful stay with peaceful nights.

Our priority is a quiet environment for undisturbed sleep and a stress free stay for all our guests.

PLEASE NOTE: SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE IN THE BUILDING**

*Late evening CHECK-IN (after 11.0 pm) is acceptable but only by prior arrangement.

**Note: Despite notices that Waterloo House is a completely non-smoking environment, we have had guests that smoked in their rooms. This is unacceptable. Cigarette smoke adversely affects décor; the smell can linger leaving the room not fresh for the next guests; and smoke filters through floorboards to other rooms.

The fire and smoke alarm system is very sensitive. Any guest that sets off the alarm by smoking – day or night – will be asked to leave immediately, regardless of nights booked, as will guests where evidence of smoking is clear. Refunds will not be given.

Pets/Dogs

Because of a few unfortunate experiences with after midnight dog walking disturbing other guests, Waterloo House now charges £5 per dog per night. This is more to do with the owners than the dogs and the following stipulations should be understood before booking.

• Only well behaved dogs are welcome
• Dogs must not be groomed in the rooms
• Dogs are not permitted in the lounge or dining room.
• Dogs should be walked at night by 11.0 pm and not before 7.30 am.*

* We appreciate dogs needs do not always conform to rules. We therefore ask that the owners be as quiet as possible if dogs need to be walked outside these hours, also being careful not to bang doors late at night. Thank you.

General requirements for assuring room security and peaceful nights.

Non-resident visitors [invited by our guests] are welcome in the evening if they are dining in the restaurant.

Parties not permitted in the guest rooms at any time.

Cancellations, Deposits and Important Information

NOTE: The following applies only to direct bookings. If you booked through EVIIVO please ignore.

• Deposit for single room for 1/2 nights – Total amount due
• Deposit for single room for more than two nights – £50
• Deposit for up to 2/3 nights in a double room – ONE night’s room rate
• Deposit for up to 4/5 nights or in a double room – Payment for TWO nights
• Deposit for more than 5 or more nights in a double room – Payment for THREE nights

Any cancellation requested less than 5 days before agreed arrival will result in loss of full deposit.

Any cancellation requested less than 14 days before agreed arrival will result in loss of 50% of deposit (the balance will be returned by cheque to a postal address).

A verbal / written reservation constitutes a legal contract, the person making the reservation is legally liable.

Housekeeping: For purposes of cleanliness and hygiene Waterloo House staff must have access to all rooms each day during our guests stay for cleaning and property inspection and maintenance.

Parking

The nearest car park is two minutes walk away, and is free overnight between 6.0pm and 10.0am.

During the day parking between 10.0am & 6.0pm will cost £3.50 per day or:

NOTE: Special daily tickets can be obtained through the Waterloo House.

For 1 day – £3.50 | 4 days – £12 | 7 days – £18 | NOTE: Longer stay tickets may be obtained from the TIC.

We permit parking (for the duration of your stay (room for one car only)) on our small forecourt on a first come first serve basis, however, once claimed we do our best to assure the space is for your use only during your stay. There is no charge for this parking facility.
